Frequent users of Google will be familiar with their doodles, whereby they change the logo to coincide with an event or holiday. They’ve never used an interactive doodle however, until now that is. To celebrate 30 years of the coin operated game Pac Man, the Google logo has been turned into the Pac Man game with 255 levels. If you make it that far, the 256th level presents you with a “kill screen”, like the original coin op game.
Since it’s release on May 22nd 1980 by Namco Bandai, the name has changed from Puck Man to Pac Man and has been released on various consoles and handhelds. The little yellow fellow’s wife has also made an appearance in Mrs Pac Man games.
Head over to Google now to play the Google version, for free of course.
